Justin Dunn Has Setback In Recovery
3 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Justin Dunn (shoulder) has fallen behind Justus Sheffield (forearm) in their rehab programs. Manager Scott Servais said, "he was disappointed he wasn't able to get up on the mound on this trip." Dunn has been sidelined since June 18 with a right shoulder strain. The 25-year-old could not complete a bullpen session this week and will need to complete a couple of rehab outings before Seattle activated him from the injured list. The Mariners right-hander owns a 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 49 strikeouts across 50 1/3 innings in 2021. Dunn will look to get back on the mound but more than likely won't return until at least late August.
