Justin Crawford Stays Hot At Double-A
3 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford has stayed hot in the batter's box since joining Double-A Reading. Through his first 13 games, the former first-round selection has held a dominant .345/.390/.436 slash line with 19 total hits, seven stolen bases, and a 3:10 BB:K ratio. His three-hit performance on Wednesday evening extended his current hitting streak to eight games. The 20-year-old opened the season by getting his second look at High-A and carried a stellar .301/.349/.438 line there. The Bishop Gorman HS product has progressed through the minor leagues very quickly and has shown no signs of slowing down. Crawford is considered the third-best prospect in the Philly system and the 53rd-best in the sport on MLB.com.
