Junior Caminero Launches Key Three-Run Homer In Rays Win
1 day agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero had a massive three-run blast in the sixth inning that broke open his team's 8-3 win over the Braves. The 413-foot blast to left center was Caminero's third homer of the year. He also singled and scored in the first inning to go 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. On the season, the 21-year-old top prospect is now hitting .280 (14-for-50) with three home runs, a .220 ISO, and a .352 wOBA. Caminero has a solid 46.2% hard-hit rate and will try to keep crushing as his Rays welcome in the Red Sox for an AL East series starting on Monday night. He'll look to build on his success from last week, when he went 7-for-22 (.318) with four of those hits going for extra bases, including all three of his home runs this season.
