4 months agoOn Tuesday, Tampa Bay Rays top prospect Junior Caminero (quadriceps) took the field for the first time since he suffered a quad injury on May 28. Rehabbing with the Rays' Rookie-Ball team, the young infielder went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer. This is certainly a positive sign for Caminero and the Rays' organization. However, he'll likely head back to Triple-A Durham once his rehab assignment concludes. Still, it'd be surprising not to see him in the big leagues at some point this year.
