Jung Hoo Lee To Have Surgery Next Tuesday
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) will have season-ending surgery on his dislocated left shoulder next Tuesday in Los Angeles, with Dr. Neal ElAttrache doing the procedure. Lee is expected to make a full recovery by the start of next spring. Manager Bob Melvin said Lee will remain around the team and rehab in San Francisco. The 25-year-old Japanese outfielder hit .262/.310/.331 with two home runs, four doubles, eight RBI, two stolen bases, 15 runs scored, 10 walks and 13 strikeouts in 158 plate appearances in his first 37 major-league games for the Giants before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury on May 12 against the Cincinnati Reds. Lee tore the labrum in his shoulder but should be ready to roll for the start of the 2025 season as San Fran's starting center fielder and leadoff hitter. If you haven't already done so in redraft leagues, Lee can be safely dropped now.
