Julius Randle Flirts With Triple-Double In Loss
4 years agoNew York Knicks forward Julius Randle continued his strong play in a loss to the Thunder on Friday night. Randle compiled 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, a triple, and a steal in 31 minutes. The 26-year-old appears to be in the midst of a breakout season, with his greatest growth coming as a passer, as he's averaged a career-high 7.4 assists per game. Head coach Tom Thibodeau called Randle the Knicks' "engine"- and seems intent on letting him run the offense, as evidenced by his career-high 29.0 usage rate. That should be music to his fantasy managers' ears. Randle gets a good Sunday matchup against the Nuggets, who have allowed the eighth-most points per game so far.
