Julio Urias Goes Seven Scoreless, Wins 17th Game
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias spun seven scoreless innings during a 3-0 victory over the San Diego Padres on Friday. The 24-year-old was brilliant, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out seven across 94 pitches. The left-hander earned his major league-leading 17th win and has a 2.98 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 175 strikeouts across 163 1/3 innings pitched. On regular rest, Urias is slated to take the ball next Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, the Dodgers could elect to give Urias extra rest, presenting a potential Friday tilt against the Cincinnati Reds. Regardless, the Dodgers lefty has proven to be matchup proof and should be deployed with confidence against any team.
