Julio Teheran Has Rare Awful Outing
5 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Julio Teheran allowed six runs on eight hits in four innings of work during a 10-2 loss to the New York Mets on Tuesday. He struck out three batters while walking three. Teheran had not allowed more than one earned run in a start since April 30. The 28-year-old owns a 5-5 record on the season to go along with a 3.40 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 79/43 K/BB rate. He was arguably the best pitcher in baseball during May, and he will look to get back on track in his next projected start against the Chicago Cubs.
