Julio Teheran Average In Opening Day Loss
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Julio Teheran went five innings, allowing three runs on four hits, during a 10-4 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. He struck out seven batters while walking two. The Braves lack a defined ace for their staff, although Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) is the closest that they have. Teheran is an adequate depth pitcher, but his control issues and struggles against left-handed batters make him insignificant in shallow mixed leagues. Teheran is a SP5, at best, for fantasy purposes.
