Julio Rodriguez Out After Aggravating Ankle Injury
3 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (ankle) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park aggravating his right-ankle injury in Wednesday's extra-inning loss. It's concerning for Rodriguez after he just came off the 10-day injured list due to a right-ankle sprain this past weekend. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 23-year-old All-Star to be day-to-day, but don't be surprised if he's forced to go back on the IL. The good news is J-Rod reportedly wanted to play on Thursday, so perhaps that's an indication that his ankle injury isn't that serious. Victor Robles will start in center and bat leadoff on Thursday against Tigers right-hander Alex Faedo. Since coming off the IL on Aug. 11, Rodriguez has gone 3-for-12 with a double, RBI and six strikeouts.
