Julio Rodriguez Drives In A Pair In Victory
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base, a walk, and a strikeout in a 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. The Mariners couldn't get anything going against veteran hurler Lance Lynn, who punched out 16 batters on the day. Rodriguez did all the necessary damage in this one, though, with a two-run double in the third inning. He also swiped a base and drew a walk in the contest. It's been an underwhelming season so far for Rodriguez, and the Mariners in general, but a game like this could go a long way in turning things in the right direction. Overall, "J-Rod" is slashing .244/.303/.428 with 12 home runs, 39 RBI, and 15 stolen bases over 283 at-bats on the season.
