Julio Rodriguez Dealing With Quad Discomfort, Will Undergo MRI
4 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (quad) was removed from Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays with discomfort in his lower right quad. He will undergo an MRI on Saturday night to determine the severity of his quad injury. The 23-year-old was removed in the second inning before making a plate appearance in Saturday's game. Rodriguez is considered day-to-day, and the MRI results should clarify the extent of his injury. He is slashing .247/.295/.335 with eight home runs, 30 RBI, 40 runs, and 18 stolen bases over 90 games in 2024. Ty France replaced Rodriguez in Saturday's game while Luke Raley shifted from first base to center field. Raley and Dylan Moore should see an uptick in playing time if Rodriguez were to miss any time.
