Juan Soto Snaps Seven-Game Hitting Streak In Loss
1 year agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a 9-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. Soto entered this contest riding a seven-game hitting streak, which started off with five consecutive multi-hit games. That came to an end on Tuesday as the Friars managed just four runs against the scuffling Pirates. Soto has obviously been white-hot over his last seven contests so it shouldn't come as a surprise if he gets back on track tomorrow against Pittsburgh. For the season, the 24-year-old is slashing .270/.423/.496 with 14 home runs, 41 RBI, and six stolen bases over 270 at-bats.
