Juan Soto Promoted To Double-A
7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder prospect Juan Soto has been promoted to the team's Double-A affiliate Harrisburg, lasting only 16 games in High-A. He's been incredible this season, slashing .372/.476/.802 in 121 AB with 12 home runs, 42 RBI and two steals. He has more walks (25) than strikeouts (21) and coaches have praised his poise and game acumen. He can make a case as this year's best player in the minor leagues and will shoot up in everyone's mid-season rankings. The only reason he's not further along in the minors is his injury-shortened season last year. Players in dynasty leagues should scoop him up immediately if he's available and even players in keeper leagues with bench space should add him. He will make a valuable chip to trade toward the end of the season, right before the trade deadline, for an established player on a non-contending team in your league. Soto has the potential to be a five-tool contributor and they hype is only going to grow from here.
