Juan Soto Hits 10th Homer Tuesday
3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with one homer, one RBI and one run scored in a 7-4 loss to the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. The first-time All-Star took Padres starting pitcher Ryan Weathers deep for his 10th homer during a 3-2 count in the fifth inning to left center field. Soto hasn't returned first-round value through his first 74 games (10 homers, 39 RBI, 47 runs and a .277/.395/.438 slash line), but he remains an elite outfield option based on his advanced stats (.317 xBA, .551 xSLG, 92.4 mph exit velocity, and career-high 53.6% hard-hit rate). This is the perfect opportunity to buy low on the 23-year-old stud, as he is primed to explode in the season half of the season.
