Jrue Holiday's Second-Half Fantasy Outlook
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday is enjoying the best season of his NBA career heading into the All-Star break. The veteran is averaging 18.6 points per game, 5.5 assists per game and 48 percent shooting from the field, which are all career bests. Along with forward/center Anthony Davis, Holiday has benefited from the season-ending injury to forward/center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles), at least from a production standpoint, boasting a 5.2 percent increase in his usage rating. Holiday should continue to serve as the No. 2 offensive option on the roster behind Davis, especially with the inconsistent play of teammates E'Twaun Moore, Rajon Rondo and the newly-acquired Nikola Mirotic. With the Pelicans averaging 102.8 possessions per game, Holiday will have every opportunity to amass a significant amount of production and will be a favorable fantasy option moving forward, especially in DFS contests.
