7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has been a big part of why the Pelicans have survived the loss of DeMarcus Cousins and currently sit fourth in the playoff picture in the West. On Wednesday against the Kings and with Anthony Davis (ankle) out for the fourth quarter, Holiday scored 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting and added eight assists and three steals. How we value Holiday moving forward depends on how fast Davis returns, but if Davis does miss time, Holiday becomes the focal point of the Pelicans offense. On Friday against the Wizards, Holiday might find it tough sledding against a defense that ranks 12th in defensive rating, but his upside in the event of a Davis absence is too great to ignore.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller

2 days agoBoston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) is probable for Tuesday's encounter with the New York Knicks. The veteran continues to battle a right shoulder issue. However, it likely won't keep him off the floor on Tuesday night. Holiday has averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in two meetings with the Knicks this season. But Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jayson Tatum (ankle), and Jaylen Brown (knee) are questionable, so there's a chance Holiday may see an uptick in scoring chances, assuming he's good to go.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

7 days agoAccording to Zack Cox of the Boston Herald, Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's meeting with the Miami Heat. He continues to have trouble with his right shoulder and could take the night off after playing in four consecutive contests. Holiday on the shelf will boost the fantasy stock of Payton Pritchard. Pritchard's production has risen to 16.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in games without Holiday this season, even as he has continued to come off the bench during these outings.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

1 week agoBoston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) is considered questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Miami Heat. He continues to have trouble with his right shoulder and could take the night off after featuring in each of the last four games. Holiday's absence would boost the fantasy stock of Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Baylor Scheierman. Pritchard's production has risen to 16.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in games without Holiday this season, even as he has continued to come off the bench during these instances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoBoston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (finger) is back in action ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Holiday will make his return to the court after missing the last four games due to a right finger injury. It sounds like he'll have a full workload on Saturday despite missing the last four contests. He should have a busy night ahead of him trying to defend Luka Doncic. Holiday is usually a viable fantasy option, so go ahead and get him active ahead of Saturday's tip-off.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
