JR Ritchie Tosses Five Innings Of No-Hit Ball At Single-A
4 months agoAtlanta Braves pitching prospect JR Ritchie threw five innings of no-hit ball in his first start at Single-A this past Friday, allowing just one walk while striking out seven batters. The performance earned him MLB.com's Prospect Team of the Week honors. Ritchie was selected 35th overall in the 2022 draft and is currently ranked as the Braves' third-overall prospect. The 21-year-old is not expected to debut until 2027 according to MLB.com, but at the rate Atlanta has been moving along their pitching prospects, it will assuredly be sooner, although not likely in 2024. He's an arm for dynasty managers to keep an eye on.
