Josiah Gray Turns In Quality Start Tuesday
2 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Josiah Gray put forth another solid effort in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Marlins. Gray pitched seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts. The 25-year-old is putting together a season that fantasy managers have long hoped for, going 3-5 with a 2.73 ERA, 7.69 K/9 rate, and 3.76 BB/9 rate. The strikeouts have been a bit down and the walks have still been high, but Gray has managed to avoid the long ball, which has historically been an issue for him. He still has room for improvement but should have another opportunity to put up another good start in his next matchup against the Tigers.
