Josiah Gray Goes Five Strong In Nationals Debut
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Josiah Gray gave up one earned run over five innings and took a no-decision in Washington's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. The 23-year-old gave up four hits and walked two while striking out two over 71 pitches in his debut start for the Nationals. The newly acquired National was in line for the loss after surrendering a solo homer to Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera in the fifth inning but was taken off the hook after the Nationals tied the game in the sixth. Gray will look to build off of the promising start at home on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves.
