Josh Tomlin Comes Back Strong on Tuesday
7 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Josh Tomlin turned in a strong start on Tuesday, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and two walks. He struck out three but had to settle for a no-decision. Tomlin was scheduled to start on Monday but had his turn moved back a day because he was dealing with a minor back injury that he suffered in his previous start when he gave up eight runs in just three innings. Tomlin will have to turn in several more starts like Tuesday's if he wants to keep his rotation spot when Danny Salazar is ready to go.
