Josh Rogers To Start Sunday
6 years agoAs expected, Baltimore Orioles rookie starting pitcher Josh Rogers will make the start on Sunday against the Rays in place of Alex Cobb (finger), who is dealing with a blister. Rogers, a southpaw, has a 4.35 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and six K's in 10 1/3 innings over two starts for the Orioles of late. He was a piece acquired from the Yankees in the Zach Britton trade this summer. On the farm, he went 8-9 with a 3.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 6.5 K/9 over 24 starts. There isn't much upside, especially in the strikeout department, making Rogers one to avoid as a streamer in most leagues.
