Josh Rogers Rehabbing In Arizona
4 months agoColorado Rockies left-hander Josh Rogers (shoulder) made five appearances for the Rockies between May 27 and June 14, when he went on the injured list with a left rotator-cuff strain. Although an MRI exam showed there was no extensive damage to his shoulder, it was not immediately clear how soon he could return to action. "He's in Arizona, he's rehabbing," manager Bud Black said on Saturday, referring to the Rockies' training facility in Scottsdale. "He's throwing, he's doing very well, progressing. I think that in the next week or two, you might see him in a Minor League rehab game. He's doing good." The 29-year-old southpaw should begin a rehab assignment in a week or two, but there's still no timetable for him to return to the big-league bullpen. In 9 2/3 innings of relief this year, he allowed seven earned runs on 12 hits while walking two and striking out two.
