Josh Norris Not Playing On Monday
33 seconds agoBuffalo Sabres center Josh Norris (undisclosed) will not suit up on Monday evening when the Sabres travel to Boston to face the Bruins. Norris was unable to participate in their last contest. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next game on Thursday evening against the Utah Hockey Club. The Sabres acquired Norris from the Ottawa Senators at the trade deadline. Through his first three contests in Buffalo, Norris has tallied two points with one goal. With Norris sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Ryan McLeod to continue to operate as the No. 2 center. Through 56 games this season, the former 19th overall pick has found the back of the net 21 times and added 14 helpers.

Josh Norris Traded To Buffalo
2 weeks agoThe Buffalo Sabres have acquired center Josh Norris and defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Dylan Cozens, defenseman Dennis Gilbert, and a 2026 second-round selection. Josh Norris was initially drafted by the San Jose Sharks with the 19th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft and was then shipped to Ottawa in a package that sent Erik Karlsson to San Jose in 2018. Norris has flashed elite upside at times but has struggled to stay on the ice. Norris tallied a career-best 35 goals with 20 helpers during the 2021 season in just 66 contests. However, since that season, Norris went on to play just eight games in 2022 and 50 in 2023. This season, Norris has already missed time with an upper body injury. Through 53 contests, Norris has scored 20 goals and added 13 helpers. Fantasy managers should expect Norris to likely play on Buffalo's top line alongside Tage Thompson and JJ Peterka.

Josh Norris, Shane Pinto Available Saturday
2 weeks agoOttawa Senators centers Josh Norris (upper body) and Shane Pinto (upper body) will return to action on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks. Norris is good to go after missing six games, while Pinto will rejoin the lineup following a four-game absence. Brady Tkachuk (lower body) already confirmed on Friday that he will play, so the Senators attack will have three key players back against the Sharks. Norris, who has tallied 31 points (19 goals, 12 assists) in 50 games, will center the second line, with Pinto, who has had 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 46 contests, joining the third line.

Josh Norris Ruled Out For Wednesday's Contest
3 weeks agoOttawa Senators center Josh Norris (upper body) will remain sidelined during Wednesday's contest when the Senators host the Winnipeg Jets. Norris has missed their previous five contests due to this injury and could be facing an extended absence. Over his last six contests, the former 19th overall selection has tallied six points (four goals) with 10 hits and five blocked shots. Overall, Norris has found the back of the net 19 times and added 12 helpers across 50 games. Despite only playing in 50 games in four out of his six NHL seasons, Norris has eclipsed the 30-point mark in all four and scored at least 16 goals in each. While Norris remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Ridly Greig to continue to play on the second line. However, this line is best to fade in DFS as left wing Brady Tkachuk will also not suit up for this contest.
