1 year agoOttawa Senators center Josh Norris took a step towards returning to game action on Wednesday when he wore a regular practice jersey for the first time since the opening of training camp. While not yet cleared for contact, Norris was a full participant in Wednesday's on-ice session and could be cleared for game action this weekend. The 24-year-old re-injured his surgically repaired shoulder in a Jan. 21 contest versus the Winnipeg Jets last season and tweaked something in the same shoulder two weeks ago. Acquired in the trade that sent Erik Karlsson to the San Jose Sharks on Sept. 18, 2018, Norris has recorded 54 goals and 93 points across 133 career NHL games but has had multiple shoulder issues that have cost him 90 games over the past two seasons.--Brenton Kemp
