Josh Naylor Receiving Interest from Cubs, Pirates, Mariners
11 months agoCleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor is a wanted man on the trade market as the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Seattle Mariners have shown interest in the left-handed slugger. The 26-year-old is coming off his second straight productive season at the plate as he hit .308 with 17 home runs, 10 stolen bases, and an .843 OPS across 495 trips to the plate, production that graded out 28% superior to the league average, as per his 128 wRC+. The Cubs and Pirates both have a need at first base and while the Mariners have Ty France as their first baseman, Naylor also has experience playing the outfield corners despite logging just one inning in the outfield in the 2023 campaign.
