Josh Naylor Activated And Starting Sunday
1 year agoCleveland Guardians first baseman/designated hitter Josh Naylor (oblique) has been activated from the 10-day injured list. The 26-year-old has been out since August 4 with an oblique strain but he's back in the lineup on Sunday, serving as the designated hitter and batting third against the Tampa Bay Rays. Naylor has been a surprising source of RBI this year, matching a career-high with 79 so far. He's slashing a rock-solid .306/.346/.500 with 15 home runs and six stolen bases over 390 plate appearances. Outfielder Oscar Gonzalez was optioned to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. Fantasy managers should get him back in their lineups if they had him stashed in their IL slot.
