Josh McDaniels Expected To Be In The Mix For Patriots Offensive-Coordinator Job
6 mins agoNFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is expected to be in the mix for the vacant offensive-coordinator position in New England now that the team hired Mike Vrabel as their next head coach. Garafolo also suggests that Vrabel could try to pry New York Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen away to the Patriots after Bowen served as the D coordinator with Vrabel during their time with the Tennessee Titans. If McDaniels isn't the guy that Vrabel brings in to run the offense, Cleveland Browns tight ends coach Tommy Rees could be another option after Rees worked with Vrabel this year in Cleveland. Vrabel could also reach out to Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach and pass-game coordinator Nick Caley, who interviewed for the Pats' offensive-coordinator job last year.
