Josh McCown Takes Over in the First Quarter
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles backup quarterback Josh McCown was forced to play almost all of Sunday's Wild Card game, entering after starter Carson Wentz was forced to leave with a head injury in the first quarter. McCown did the best he could, completing 18 of his 24 passes for 174 yards. He was also able to run five times for 23 more yards. McCown didn't make any mistakes, but he wasn't really able to make any of the big plays the Eagles needed against a smothering Seattle defense. McCown definitely still has something left though, and should return as Wentz's backup next season.
