Josh Jung Moved Into Six-Hole Friday
1 year agoTexas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung has been moved up from the eight-hole to the six-hole for Friday night's ALCS Game 5 against the Astros and right-hander Justin Verlander. Rangers skipper Bruce Bochy has juggled his lineup spots for Friday's contest, also moving struggling catcher Jonah Heim to the nine-hole while the hot-hitting Leody Taveras will take over in the five-spot. Jung has just three hits in four games in this ALCS, however, two of them went for home runs while he is still hitting .324 with three homers, three doubles, and a triple in the postseason good for a monstrous 1.060 OPS in 37 playoff plate appearances. The Rangers are averaging just 3.75 runs per game in this series, a figure that will need to improve against a hot-hitting Astros offense.
