Josh Jacobs Salvages Day With Late TD
5 years agoOakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs couldn't get much going versus the Chargers through the first three quarters, but his 18-yard TD with a minute left salvaged his performance. His game-winning score helped him total 71 yards on 16 carries in the team's 26-24 win as he added another 30 yards through the air with three catches. Jacobs continues to rack up nearly all of the rush attempts in the backfield, although he ceded passing-catching opportunities to Jalen Richard late in the game with the team playing from behind. His high-volume usage makes him a fringe RB1 weekly, especially when the underwhelming Bengals come to visit in Week 11.

Josh Jacobs Notches 121 Total Yards, Keeps Touchdown Streak Intact In Loss
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs maintained his stellar production into the postseason despite the Packers' 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles during the Wild-Card round. Jacobs was the main cog in the Packers' offensive attack as he carried the ball 18 times for 81 yards, including a fourth-quarter touchdown that gave the Packers their only touchdown of the afternoon. He also caught all three of his targets for 40 yards as a safety valve for quarterback Jordan Love. In his first season as a Packer, Jacobs was a massive success with over 1,300 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns on the season. Jacobs will be a highly-drafted running back in 2025 fantasy leagues in this Packers' system that feeds him the ball.

Usual Workhorse Role On Tap For Josh Jacobs Against Eagles
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs looks to keep his regular season momentum rolling into the playoffs as the Packers head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in their Wild Card game on Sunday afternoon. Jacobs ended the regular season with a bang as he scored 12 rushing touchdowns in his last eight games with a per-game average of 18 carries and 98 total yards in that span. To say Jacobs has been consistent after the Packers' Week 10 bye is quite an understatement. As Jacobs goes, so does the Packers' offense and with Jordan Love (elbow) banged up following Week 18 but off the injury report, the Packers could choose to lean further on their rushing attack against the Eagles. Even with Philadelphia allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, Jacobs is a very solid touches-based RB1 for playoff and DFS contests.

Josh Jacobs Scores For Eighth Consecutive Game In Week 18 Loss
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs maintained his massive touchdown streak despite the Packers' 24-22 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 18. Jacobs did not see the volume he normally does and did not record a touch following his nine-yard touchdown plunge in the second quarter. After that score, Jacobs ceded the way for Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks to rest up for the Packers' playoff push. With his touchdown in Week 18, that makes 12 total touchdowns in Jacobs' final eight games. With the Packers headed to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in the Wild Card round, Jacobs is a locked-in RB1 for playoff contests.

Josh Jacobs Doesn't Anticipate Massive Workload Sunday
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs acknowledged that he doesn't expect to handle a large number of touches during Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Chicago Bears. "Just being honest, being realistic, I don't see me taking that many carries in this game," Jacobs previously said. "Obviously, I want to play. I'm going to push to play, and I'm playing. But I don't see myself taking 30 carries." The Packers are locked into a Wild Card spot, so the Packers might consider reducing some of their starters' workloads to preserve their health. That list of players would surely include Jacobs, who has 1,625 scrimmage yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He could still lead the Green Bay backfield on Sunday, but we would expect Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson to remain involved so that Jacobs can stay fresh for the playoffs.
