Josh Hader Secures Fifth Save On Wednesday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Josh Hader allowed one walk while striking out one across a scoreless inning to earn the save during Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Atlanta Braves. He entered the game in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 29-year-old walked Austin Riley to start the inning but retired the next three hitters he faced to secure his fifth save of the season. Hader is a perfect 5-for-5 in save opportunities with a 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and a 14:4 K: BB across eight innings in 2023. Hader is one of the top closers in the game, and fantasy managers should continue to roll with him in all league formats.
