Josh Fleming Making The Start On Sunday
5 months agoPittsburgh Pirates left-hander Josh Fleming will make the start for the team on Sunday at Coors Field against the hosting Colorado Rockies. Fleming got the call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday but wasn't used at all out of the bullpen in the first two games of the series. The 28-year-old southpaw will face a Rockies team that ranks in the middle of the pack in MLB in OPS (.699) in 15th in a dangerous hitter's park. Colorado does have the fifth-most strikeouts (658) in the league, but Fleming still makes for a desperation fantasy streamer in deep leagues on Sunday's slate. Before his call-up, Fleming was working as a multi-inning reliever for the Isotopes. In his 17 big-league appearances (one start) this year, he's posted a 5.68 ERA and 1.68 WHIP with nine walks and 13 K's in 19 innings pitched, adding one save.
