Josh Fleming Converts Three-Inning Save
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Josh Fleming allowed three hits across three scoreless innings and earned the save during Sunday's 9-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. He entered the game in the seventh inning to preserve a 6-0 lead. The southpaw threw three shutout frames to earn his first save of the season. He's now appeared out of the bullpen in his last two appearances after being used as a starter most of the season. Fleming owns a 4.71 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 62 strikeouts over 99 1/3 innings in 2021. The 25-year-old can be left on the waiver wire in most league formats as he continues to shift between the Rays bullpen and starting rotation in 2021.
