3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson will be getting his first day off on Monday as the team faces his former team, the Toronto Blue Jays. DJ LeMahieu is covering third base and leading off in the game. Donaldson went 4-for-15 with six strikeouts and no walks in the team's three-game series against the Boston Red Sox. All four of his hits were singles, including a walk-off 11th inning single on Opening Day. The Yankees have a surplus of hitters right now and it's been resulting in regular day-offs for a number of the team's core players.
