Josh Donaldson Hits Eighth Homer Of Season
3 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson collected a pair of runs scored and RBI along with a home run in Thursday's win over the New York Yankees. Donaldson tied the game in the ninth inning with a big, two-run homer off of Aroldis Chapman. The blast traveled 438 feet at an exit velocity of 110.3 MPH. The veteran third baseman owns a .942 OPS in 31 June at-bats, which would register as his best mark of any month this season. Donaldson is seeing a career-high number of pitches in the zone and swinging at the second-highest rate of his career, resulting in fewer strikeouts and some of the best quality of contact he's ever produced. The injury risk will always be there with him, but he should be among the top fantasy third baseman the rest of the way.
