Josh Donaldson Batting Second On Opening Day
6 years agoAtlanta Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson will be batting near the top of the order on Opening Day against Aaron Nola and the Philadelphia Phillies. Donaldson had a mediocre spring as he carried a .130 average across 27 plate appearances. Regardless, the 33-year-old has intriguing bounce-back potential playing in a deep Braves lineup this season. Injuries are his biggest detriment as he has missed 159 games over the past two campaigns. Donaldson could be a top-10 third baseman as long as he gets a clean bill of health this year. He is in a wonderful fantasy situation hitting in front of Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuna Jr. Going against Nola is always a scary proposition, so Donaldson is a mid-tier play in DFS formats on Thursday.
