2 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Josh Bell is back in the lineup Friday as the team's designated hitter against Davis Martin and the Chicago White Sox. Bell sat the Padres previous two games, and he has now sat four of the team's last seven games, as he appears to be in a platoon role with the Friars. After a torrid first half, Bell has been a complete dud to close out the season. His September slash line of .186/.278/.243 is the stuff of nightmares for fantasy owners who were counting on him as part of their playoff team.
