Josh Allen Still Has Shot At Starting Job
7 years agoBuffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen, who the Bills traded up for to select in the top 10, should see some first-team repetitions about a week into training camp, in the opinion of WKBW's Joe Buscaglia. Allen has the most long-term upside out of AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman, but the Bills must be careful not to put too much on his plate too quickly. Still, Buscaglia believes that Allen will become a starter at some point in 2018, if not to begin the season if he has a strong camp. Allen has an incredibly strong arm and can escape the pocket with ease, but there are questions about his leadership qualities and the fact that he didn't dominate lesser opponents in college. Allen is a fine dynasty league selection but should be ignored in redraft formats.
