Josh Allen Looks To Make First Start Count
6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will make his first career start Sunday against the Chargers. The rookie will face a secondary that got torched last week by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Even though it’s Allen’s first start, he did play last week going 6-for-15 against the Ravens. It’s also worth noting the Chargers will be without Joey Bosa again, a huge plus for the Bills relatively weak offensive front. On paper it appears to be a good first start for the rookie. However, I would shy away from him due to the Bills weak receiving corps. The group has constantly dropped passes recently and that is not an ideal situation when starting a rookie quarterback. Allen may be a great play later in the season, but for now keep him on the bench.
