Joseph Woll Stands Tall On Sunday
1 day agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll stopped 29 of the 31 shots he saw en route to defeating the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday evening. The Ducks dominated the shot total, but Woll was able to lead the way. The Ducks scored their first goal in the second frame on a Leo Carlsson wrist shot. In the third, Woll would allow his second goal, this time on the power play, to Sam Colangelo. This outing snapped a two-game losing skid for Woll. Woll held a 4.53 GAA with a .864 save percentage in this losing stretch. However, Woll posted a 5-1 record before this skid with a 3.00 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Woll and Anthony Stolarz to share the Toronto crease. Stolarz will likely get the starting nod in their next game on Wednesday evening against the Florida Panthers.
