Jose Urena Lasts Just 2 2/3 Innings Against Cubs
4 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jose Urena had his shortest outing of the year so far on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs. Urena lasted just 2 2/3 innings, giving up five hits, one walk and four earned runs while recording just one strikeout. He wound up with a no-decision on the day as the Tigers' offense propelled the team to an eventual victory. Urena had a string of four consecutive quality starts that came to an end in his previous start before this one. Through eight starts on the year, he's 1-4 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. He could be a streaming option during the right matchups this year, but generally he should remain on waivers in all leagues at this point. His next start will be on Friday against the Kansas City Royals.
