Jose Ramirez Signs Seven-Year Contract Extension
3 years agoThe Cleveland Guardians have signed star third baseman Jose Ramirez to a seven-year contract extension. According to Jon Heyman, Ramirez will be guaranteed $141 million over seven seasons. The contract has an average annual value of just over $20 million per year, but the latter years are more lucrative for the 29-year-old than the next few years. Ramirez's new deal amounts to the biggest contract in club history. He is now signed through the 2028 season. Over his 10 years with Cleveland, Ramirez has slashed .280/.355/.505 with 166 home runs and 154 stolen bases.
