3 years agoThe Cleveland Guardians have agreed to a five-year contract extension with star third baseman Jose Ramirez. The extension is worth $124 million and Ramirez now has $150 million guaranteed overall on his contract with the club. The 29-year-old had been the subject of some trade rumors this offseason as the Guardians' roster looks rather rebuild-y from top to bottom. However, the team chose to stick with its best offensive player. Last year, over 152 games, Ramirez slashed .266/.355/.538 with 36 home runs, 103 RBI and 111 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
