4 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez (hand) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Kansas City Royals. The 27-year-old returned to the lineup for Wednesday’s game, but his bruised thumb may still be giving him trouble. Either way, it is not a long-term concern for Ramirez, and he is likely available for pinch-hitting duties. In his absence, Mike Freeman will start at third base and bat second.
