Jose Quintana Diagnosed With Shoulder Inflammation
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jose Quintana (shoulder) has been diagnosed with shoulder inflammation after undergoing an MRI, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. He also adds that Quintana has already begun playing catch at 90 feet. Quintana was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, but it appears that this stay on the IL might not be too terribly long. Although when he returns, managers will hope for better results on the mound as he is 0-3 with a 7.22 ERA and 1.931 WHIP. That being said, he has been a strikeout machine this season, as he sports a career-best 30.1 percent strikeout rate over 33 2/3 innings.
