7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder Jose Martinez is getting the start at first base and batting fifth in Thursday's lineup. With regular third baseman Jedd Gyorko on the disabled list with a hamstring injury, Matt Carpenter is playing second base and Yairo Munoz is at third. Martinez can flat out hit and should be owned in most formats. His fielding leaves much to be desired, but if he hits to his potential, the Cardinals will have to keep finding a place for him in the lineup and on the field.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
