1 year agoThe Kansas City Royals traded reliever Jose Cuas to the Chicago Cubs on Monday in exchange for outfielder Nelson Velazquez. The Royals optioned Velazquez to Triple-A Omaha following the move. Cuas made 45 appearances for the Royals in 2023, posting a 3-0 record, 4.54 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts over 41 2/3 innings of work. He will look to bolster Chicago's relieving corps moving forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
