Jose Cuas Records First Save
1 year agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Jose Cuas was called upon to shut the door versus the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. The right-hander was asked to protect a three-run lead in the ninth, which was surprising considering he has mainly been pitching in the sixth and seventh inning. Despite that, Cuas threw a scoreless ninth inning to record his first save of the season. The right-hander has been shaky lately, so it's hard to believe he'll get many more save chances going forward.
