Jose Berrios Pitches Season-High Eight Innings In No-Decision
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios put together a strong outing in Monday's no-decision against the Baltimore Orioles. Berrios pitched a season-high eight innings, allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts and no walks. The 27-year-old registered only seven whiffs but induced eight groundball outs thanks to an average exit velocity of 84.5 MPH. Berrios is on a roll, as he has allowed three runs or less and gone at least five innings in each of his last three starts. His expected ERA suggests he's been relatively lucky this season, though he should remain a solid fantasy starter the rest of the way, even with a bit of regression. Berrios is lined up to face the Kansas City Royals on June 5.
